6 PhD Studentships
Six PhD Studentships are available within the newly established, UKCRC
funded Centre for Translational Research in Public Health (CTRPH) in North
East England. The studentships will support key research themes and provide
training and experience for promising graduates. Each student will be based
at one of the Centre's five partner universities and also have supervisory
input from one other North East university.

DurSMH1: Analysis of the use of evidence by Local Area Agreements: the case
of worklessness
Sunderland University
CPCC12: The development and integration of new public health roles in
different organisational settings
Northumbria University
CHS01: Understanding barriers and facilitators to health related behaviour
change in hard-to-reach populations
3-year (PhD) studentships:
Newcastle University
IHS42: Investing in public health: commissioning for health and wellbeing
IHS43: Exploring product choice and critical price thresholds in young
binge drinkers
All studentships will commence in September 2008, are funded at ESRC rates,
and are available to UK and other EU nationals only. Full details and
