Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Computational Astrophysics

A 3-year postdoctoral position is available to work on comparisons of smooth
particle hydrodynamics (SPH) and adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) methods and
codes with particular emphasis on applications in astrophysics in general,
and star formation in particular. The successful candidate will work with
both Simon Goodwin at the University of Sheffield, and Sam Falle at the
University of Leeds. The post will be based at the University of Sheffield,
and is funded by the Leverhulme Foundation.
Applicants should have a background in numerical astrophysics with experience
of SPH and/or AMR methods. The appointment is for 3 years with a nominal
starting date of 1st October 2008.
