Just want a bit of advice really....
Last week in a particulary stressful/frustrated moment I sent an email to
various members of my organisation saying it is difficult to change a
culture where senior management are autocratic & dictatorial.
To put it in context I had been asked for my views and it was not just
a 'rant' but yes, in hindsight I know it was unprofessional & stupid,
consequently it has now blown up in my face! Dispite apologising &
conceeding that email probably wasn't the most appropriate format I am now
being 'investigated' for misconduct!
I have worked for the organisation for 3 years and it's a bit like 'life on
mars'on a good day, in fact I have spent the last 12 months doing 2 peoples
jobs as the other OHA left a year ago, I carried 10 days annual leave over
from last year as I didn't have time to take it but no one has mentioned
this, currently we cannot recruit due to various factors, salary being one
of them. The week before my email I saw 4 middle managers all of whom cited
workplace stress and bulling as the reason for sickness absence.
I have a 'hearing' on Friday & the organisation is happy for me to carry on
with my role till then (theres no one else to do it)- after then who
knows....
Guess what Im really asking is has anyone else been through a similar
experience & if so how did they get on?
