Agree on the Forum. Brilliant for running a whole College Town Meeting.
Imagine getting the whole college together to discuss a topic in groups
without them leaving departments or staff rooms and then posting
summaries from each group over an hour slot. Costs nothing, everyone is
in and you end up with a 'what the college thinks' about the subject
chosen. Try it with a Principal's end of year briefing. Leave it open
for a week for individuals to review and add further thoughts. This is
Moodle for staff not students!
My other favourite is the way every page has its own url allowing any
resource of activity to be hyperlinked to any other resource or
activity, even across course areas. This creates strings of activity and
Final one is the 'userpix' gallery off the front page. Great way to
start a staff training session.
