That sounds like a possibility. I'm not sure how long the Cornish
Copper Company existed. A quick web search reveals they were taken over
in the late 1800's by Harvey's foundry in Hayle. The CCC pennies show
several variations in design details, compared to the 1811 originals,
but are nevertheless fairly well done.

Hello all:
Here's another questionable item that the List hopefully may know
something about. I have an "1811" Cornish penny. The front side shows
the usual view of an engine house. The back side differs slightly from
the original issue, including the addition of the tiny letters "CCC". I
presume this a later copy of some kind, but what do the letters mean?
One suggestion is "Cornwall County Council", who possibly issued this as
a commemorative re-strike, but my e-mail inquiry to the Council was not
answered.
