All the checks that have been sold on E-bay from the Manchester Lancashire coalfield.
That is the ones with the raised letters are correct, i have five of them in my collection
3 were from Ashton Moss pit in the 1960s when it stopped winding coal and went
over to looking after Bradford pit, the other two came from Buile Hill museum,
They were sold from a big box... take your pick, all sorts of checks from the local
clossed mines, about a year before the museum clossed they produced there own
checks, these are all fakes are brass whith embossed letters,they are.

When any of these come up for sale on bay thay are always classed as fakes.
