A FRIEND of mine wrote from Mexico: "A British miner resting at our San
Julian silver-gold project near Guadalupe y Calvo in the Sierra Madre of
Chihuahua, was called John Marshall."
John, who came from Bristol, lived from 1852 to 1902.
His workers wrote on his gravestone that they greatly appreciated him.
Any help in identifying this miner would be much appreciated.
