Applications are invited for the above post based in the 5*
research-rated (RAE 2001) School of American and Canadian Studies,
incorporating the Institute of Film and Television Studies.
The successful candidate will be a specialist in North American
Cultural Studies and will be able to conduct research and deliver
courses in this area. They will also be expected to contribute
significantly to the teaching of Canadian cultural studies, and
appropriate preparation time may be provided, if necessary.
The person appointed will be responsible for teaching and contributing
to undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supervising undergraduate
and postgraduate dissertations, assessment (setting and marking),
undertaking original research, and contributing generally to the work
of the School.
Candidates must have successfully completed, or be close to
completing, a PhD by the date of appointment.
Salary will be within the range £30,912 - £41,545 per annum, depending
on qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £48,161 per
annum, subject to performance).
