ABOUT CULTURE24
Culture24 is an independent charity that publishes a family of websites including the 24 Hour Museum, Show Me and ICONS. We exist to promote and support the culture sector online and to serve the needs of online audiences.
We are funded by the Museums Libraries and Archives Council (MLA), Arts Council England (ACE), the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), Visit Britain and others and are governed by a Board of Trustees led by John Newbigin.
Culture24 is working strategically with government agencies in the UK to develop a more joined up approach to online cultural publishing and data sharing. Our database of cultural institutions, events and educational resources is the biggest in the UK. We are currently rebuilding the system that sits behind all of their websites so that it can better exploit changing patterns in user behaviour and web technologies.
