****Apologies for cross posting******
The West Country Division of the CDG has organised a trip to Prince Consort's Library and Services Central Library, part of the Army Library and Information Service, at Aldershot on Thursday 31st July 2008 from 12.00 - 3.00pm.
We will be taken around the two library sites by the Librarians. In order to move between the two libraries, you will have to go in your car or car share. The librarians will show us their library and discuss how the library is run and the issues which are faced in this unique environment.
This trip will be of interest to those members currently undertaking their Certification or Chartership, or those members who would like to see how another library operates.
It will also be a chance to meet other librarians from various sectors in a more social environment.
Places are limited to 12 and you will need to be a member of cilip, so book early if you are interested. Lunch will not be provided but there are facilities available if you need to buy your lunch.
