Having an ILL-only list would seriously undermine a major point of collaborative lists. Some requests are met by more distant colleagues (yesterday's Turkish item for example, and other rare overseas items) who wouldn't even be aware of the ILL list let alone take the time to subscribe to a once-in-a-career opportunity to help. And when they are flagged as urgent, it's nice to think that a few of us at least check our holdings, just in case, even if it's not our core role.
For those to whom the ILL is perceived as a real nuisance, it takes about 30 seconds to set up a rule in Outlook, Groupwise or whichever email client you use to filter all messages where ILL is in the subject line either to an ILL folder, or straight to Trash.
In April there were approx 95 messages with ILL in subject line. For the 2 seconds it takes to identify and delete it, that makes less than 4 minutes a month to delete one at a time, or 30 seconds to set up a rule, either way splitting the list would lose more than you gain, I suggest.
I'm not in the CDG, I'm not looking for a job and I don't really care about duplicate journals, but it would be very weird set of lists that met 100% of a person's interests...
Slightly over 2p worth, sorry :-)
Back to work...
Mark
