The Board of SLA Europe is delighted to announce the four recipients of
the SLA Europe Student Conference Award. The winners, Emma Dhesi
(Brighton University), Sarah Hammond (University of Sheffield), Hanna
Lewin (University College London), and Sandy Peterson (University of
Strathclyde, Glasgow) will attend the annual SLA Conference in Seattle,
Washington, USA, 13-18 June, 2008 as part of the award.
The SLA Europe Student Conference Award, now in its second year, is made
to European students enrolled in a graduate-level programme in the field
of library and information science, who have excellent English language
skills and have never attended the SLA Conference. This year, thanks to
collaboration between SLA Europe, three SLA Divisions and our industry
sponsors, the number of awards has increased from one in 2007 to four in
2008.
