Dear John
I run a short, 3 week, option on SecondLife in my course Online Education and Training at the
Institute of Education, London University. It involves attending a conference that happens to be running in SL at the time, and reporting back on it.
I had to take a private course in how to use SL, but - while I do believe it is the best thing going for blended or distance education - I wish it would morph into a more advanced stage where we didnt have to use so many awkward commands.
I look forward to hearing about other HE/FE uses.
Anita

Subject: Is your library using Second Life?
Hi,
I'm doing a survey (one of a series) on how UK Higher and Further Education
institutions are using Second Life. This is funded by the Eduserv Foundation
as part of their SL in education range of activities:
http://www.eduserv.org.uk/foundation/sl
Are you in a UK University or College library, and developing or using
Second Life for any academic or library purpose? If so, a few notes on what
you are doing would be appreciated. I can be contacted on:
