Christos,
You can consider this as a "feature" or a side effect of a feature... This
is due to BDII caching by GOC DB : it takes a few days for the node to be
considered as removed. I agree with you, this is quite annoying and AFAIK
the delay should be reduced in the future to one day but I don't know the
status.
Despite what Antun is saying I have a recent experience of a node removed
from BDII and set in downtime during a few days before removing it from
GOCDB and I received an alarm almost immediately after deleting it...
