yes, but if you don't have a waypoint mask, the result will be the
same as dividing by the total number of samples.
The use of waytotal was intended (by Andreas and Tim) to incorporate
a prior on the existence of a connection in the calculation of the
connection probability. Dividing fdt_paths by waytotal, in the case
of connecting A to B, results in the probability that a voxel belongs
to the connection A->B, given that this connection exists.
