I think that this is a great shame; I've met Mr Palin on a couple of occasions and he was lovely. I certainly didn't feel he'd discriminate against me.
I think it was a case of the organisers not being organised, and he merely had to go along with it. They are the ones with whom we should take issue. As we haven't had a comment from Mr Palin we shouldn't assume he let it happen.
I believe that he brings out audio versions of his books BEFORE the printed versions go out - or, at least, he did on at least one occasion. That doesn't sound like a man who discriminates, to me. He also founded the Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children in London.
