"Dear List,
Having been shown the emails from this list, which I have found to be very interesting, I am very confused at the statement that Richard Scrivener visited Combe Martin.
Peter has stated:
> The tetrahedrites are relatively rare at Combe Martin - Scrivener failed
> to find much on the dumps - compared with the later mineralisation at Bere
> Ferrers in the Tamar Valley.
I am unaware that Scrivener has ever visited Combe Martin for any reason. A few years ago I did show two BGS chaps from Nottingham University around the mines, who I understood were Scrivener's minions, and they promised to send me a copy of their report, which I never received. I am not surprised that Scrivener found little on the dumps if he hasn't been here. Perhaps Peter could enlighten me.
Mitch Warburton, Mine Captain."
