I have done OSCEs in a non-medical school setting (a different
clinical background). From what I remember, I wasn't given extra time
(because of the same 'speed issue'). I did have a reader and a
practical assistant - for some reason human aids and no extra time
seemed more acceptable than equipment + extra time.
