I can see it now.... in finest Connery accent....
"Ah Yesh Q, what is it?"
" Ah, 007, we need a number of things from you before you can go off and
neutralise Blofeld and save the world"
"Like what Q?"
"If you could just provide me with a medical certificate, driving licence
details, and details of your personal insurances, I am sure we can get it
all sorted. Oh yes, and don't forget, we need to check if your licence to
kill is still valid. Have you killed anyone recently?"
"Yesh Q, I shot the Health and Shafetey inshpector for asking me to shtop
shmoking!"
"Ah jolly good 007, your good to go! And if you could just see your way
clear to putting a slug into the corporate lawyer on your way out, that
would be grand, oh and bring back a pint of milk?"
"Shemi shkimmed?"
"That would be fine."
Sorry, it's Friday....

Subject: Re: [data-protection] Employee Driving Details
This one used to crop up every year when HR decided to check insurance
and they wanted a photocopy of the form. All that is required is a
record that a responsible officer has seen the insurance certificate
and that it is valid. This record should be initialed by the HR
officer and the driver so show it was acurate on the day of the
inspection. Recording numbers of licences, tax etc is certainly
excessive.
