TASI has vacancies for two TASI Technical Support Officers - Sound
Resources. These new posts are in preparation for TASI extending its
remit later this year to include audio and moving images:
Based at the Institute for Learning and Research Technology, these
two posts will support the UK's Further and Higher Education
communities in the creation, management and use/reuse of digital
sound resources in teaching, learning and research.
TASI <http://www.tasi.ac.uk/> is a JISC (Joint Information Systems
Committee) funded Advisory Service which provides technical
information, training and resources for digitisation projects and
teaching staff who use digital media.
You will have a degree-level qualification and 2-3 years'
professional experience in creating and using digital sound resources
within an academic or cultural sector environment, including both
practical experience and theoretical knowledge and understanding of
the digital lifecycle. You will have excellent communication,
presentation and time-management skills along with good research
skills.
