Functional and Neurochemical Imaging of Individual Differences in Dopamine
The Affective Neuroscience Laboratory at Vanderbilt University (PI: Dr.
David Zald) invites applications for a research analyst with a strong
interest in neuroimaging (PET and fMRI), neuropsychological assessment and
genetics. We seek an individual to help coordinate and perform functional
and neurochemical imaging research aimed at understanding the relationship
between individual differences in dopamine and cognitive, personality and
genetic traits. Responsibilities include scheduling and running PET, fMRI
and behavioral experiments with human subjects, performing cognitive
assessments, assisting with laboratory management, data management, and
coordination between researchers in the psychology department and the VU
Medical Center.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree; a Bachelor's degree in
psychology or neuroscience is preferred. Successful candidates will have
experience with psychological and/or neuroimaging research. The successful
candidate must have strong organizational skills. Preference will be given
to candidates with strong computer skills, particularly individuals with
programming experience (e.g. Matlab, E-Prime). Preference will also be given
to individuals who can commit to working in the lab for a minimum of
two-years.
