Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neural Modeling of Human Functional
Neuroimaging Data
A postdoctoral fellowship is available beginning Fall, 2008 for
developing and applying computational neuroscience modeling methods to
in vivo human functional neuroimaging data, obtained from functional
fMRI and MEG. Imaging facilities are available to implement and test
hypotheses derived from the modeling. The project involves extending a
large-scale neurobiologically realistic computational model of auditory
and visual processing with the goal of understanding the relation
between functional neuroimaging data and the underlying
electrophysiological behavior of multiple interconnected neuronal
populations.
A PhD or MD degree is required. Knowledge of MRI or MEG and/or
experience in computational neural modeling, statistical methods, or
computer programming is required. The fellowship carries an initial
contract of two years with an option to renew. The typical duration of
such a fellowship is three to five years.
