I went to the gallery that day [9/11], and two of my friends came by.
One said, 'This is a really important piece now'
The other said, 'No, it's ruined now, its whole meaning is changed'.
I said, 'You're both nuts.
I just set up a camera, and of course things can happen'.

The ambient.vista residencies invite artists to address the unique and
spectacular aspect over London from the ambient.space studio in Hackney. The
programme launches with Wolfgang Staehle (New York / Berlin),
Internet-art pioneer and founder of THE THING.
Forthcoming artists in residence in 2008 include Fahim Amir (Vienna), NOW
(Tuomas Toivonen & Nene Tsuboi, Helsinki), and exonemo (Kensuke Sembo
& Yae Akaiwa, Tokyo).
