Time is running out for UC&R BBO members to apply for a bursary to attend the UC&R/CoFHE joint conference 2008. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 25th April, so get your entries in as soon as possible! Full details of the bursary and how to apply can be found below:
The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire (BBO) branch of CILIP’s University, College and Research Group is pleased to be able to offer a bursary to a student or 'new professional' from the region to attend the CILIP UC&R/CoFHE joint conference which will take place at Liverpool Hope University from 23-26 June 2008. The theme of the conference is ‘Libraries Make a Difference: Building a Learning Culture”, and speakers will include Dame Jackie Fisher of Newcastle College, Dr. David Collins of South Cheshire College, and Joyce Little, Director of Liverpool City Libraries.

Applicants should be UC&R members from the BBO region, should not have attended the UC&R/CoFHE joint conference previously and are requested to write a short explanation of how attending the conference would add to their professional or career development. Submissions should be no more that one page, and should be sent, along with your name, job title and contact details to Paula Luckett - [log in to unmask]

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 25th April. The successful applicant will be expected to write a brief report on the conference and their experiences for publication in either the UC&R newsletter, Relay, or on the UC&R Web pages.
