Archives Assistant
Archives and Corporate Records Services
An enthusiastic Archives Assistant is required by King’s College London to
support reader services in a busy archive centre.
The College’s archive holdings are rich and diverse and include a renowned
military history collection and the historical records of the College
itself.
This post’s main duties include registering and assisting readers,
retrieving and handling archives, answering enquiries, assisting with
exhibitions and other outreach activities, preservation, processing copying
requests and office administrative duties.
Applicants should have a careful and thorough approach to work, an interest
in modern history, good communication and IT skills and a strong commitment

The post provides a good introduction to the archives profession and would
be ideal for anyone interested in training as an archivist.
Salary will be on the Grade 4 scale, currently £20,458 - £23,002, plus
London Allowance of £2,323 per annum.
