Hello there,
The list of resources that we have at risk at UoB as a result of our
testing is as follows:
1) BVD databases (Amadeus, FAME, Bankscope)
JISC update:- we believe they are committed to their adoption of
shibboleth, but customer feedback urged.
2) Barbour Index
JISC update:- we've not managed to establish any sort of contact with
this organisation. Customers are urged to go to them directly.
3) BSI
JISC update:- Jane has a contact here and we are working on.
4) CIDER
JISC Update:- not managed any contact with them at the moment
5)Creative Club
JISC update:- have said that they are looking to join but no update
received
6) Ebrary
JISC update:- have declared intention to implement by 31/07/08
7)Mintel:
JISC update:- have a contact here but no real progress
8) MyiLibrary:
JISC update:- required to join under a JISC license agreement and we are
confident they will be ready.
We are obviously also keeping an eye on the resources that have stated
that they will be compliant by 31st July to make sure that we aren't
caught out when that date comes!
If anyone knows if IP access to the above resources is available, please
let me know. We have tried to email SPs where possible to see if an IP
alternative is available to minimise the risk but this is not the best
solution.
Has anyone been able to get a response from some of the SPs above who
have not discussed their plans for compliancy as yet?
Many thanks
Sarah

Hi,
This is interesting, if possible I'd love to see a list of the ones
you've identified. I wasn't sure if there were any resources for which
the _only_ route in was Athens. We've been fortunate to find that our
resources are either:
Federated already
Expecting to be Fed capable real soon or
Should be able to do IP authentication/Proxy
We've also been encouraged to find that some resources we weren't
expecting to be Federated are now saying they will be.
Our folks at the Library have been working very hard to identify any
show stoppers - as I expect you have!
Cheers
Andy
