The iKit, developed by the Centre for Digital Library Research at the University of Strathclyde, is a dynamically-driven service for retrieving tools such as completed final reports, case studies and downloadable software, etc. created as a result of JISC funded research in areas relating to Resource Discovery. The intended audience includes developers and technical planners involved in research into resource discovery solutions.
We now have a beta version of the service available, for consideration and feedback, at http://cdlr.strath.ac.uk/rdinfokit/service/index.cfm
We would welcome any constructive feedback from those who might constitute the iKit's intended audience.
We are particularly interested in garnering feedback from members of the JISC community conducting research into areas of Resource Discovery and the Information Environment.
Please be aware that as the website is still beta, there are areas which are still being worked on (particularly presentation elements), but the core functionality is, we believe, more or less complete.
Many thanks for your time, please forward this message to anybody you think might be well-placed/willing to add comment.
