italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear colleagues,
Last year’s convention of the South Atlantic Modern Language Aasociation (SAMLA) was attended by several Italianists. We wouild like to encourage colleagues from the South East and from other regions to attend the 2008 Convention, which will take place in Louisville, KY, November 7-9.
To this purpose, we encourage scholars to propose sessions on any aspect of Italian literature and culture, or to submit titles of papers (with a brief abstract) that we will organize into a session, on the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and the modern period. Please feel free to contact the organizers of the two sessions already proposed (see below).
Please send asap proposal of sessions and/or titles of papers to:
Ennio Rao ([log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>)
Or
Dino Cervigni ([log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>).
We expect several colleagues and graduate students to attend.
For further information, please visit the website of SAMLA (http://www.samla.org).
