Job Title: Team Leader (Plan Monitoring and Spatial Information)
Salary:
£37,543 - £40,101
West Yorkshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified town planner with
experience in monitoring and information to support my client's Local
Development Framework.
As part of Planning & Economic Policy, the Data Team has recently been
restructured and enlarged. You will be responsible for 10 staff covering a
wide and possibly unique range of functions relating to information and
monitoring.
You will be the principal focus for developing the Annual Monitoring Report
and for supporting teams working on a wide range of local development
documents by providing a coordinated approach to assembling and using an
evidence base. You will also be expected to have a detailed understanding
of the role that GIS can play in handling these sets of spatial data and
significant experience of using a GIS. You will play a key part in
developing my client’s GIS strategy.
In addition you will be the Custodian of the City’s Land & Property
Gazetteer (part of the NLPG) and will have delegated responsibility to
carry out street naming & numbering work. One of your challenges will be
to develop the integration of these processes.
You will need to ensure that you and your team play an active part in
implementing my client’s new Data Quality Strategy. Previous experience in
contributing to regional and national initiatives will also be an advantage.
Candidates will possess a degree or degree level qualification in Town
Planning. In exceptional circumstances, consideration will be given to
candidates who do not possess a qualification in Town Planning if they are
able to demonstrate appropriate experience of the Local Development
Framework, monitoring processes and the Local Land & Property Gazetteer.
