Purpose of the Post:
The post holder will primarily be engaged in the delivery of the Local Land
and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and the corporate Geographical Information
System (GIS) initiatives, such as web-based GIS. The post holder will be
the Custodian of the LLPG and Corporate Ordnance Survey Liaison Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
*To act as the Council’s Custodian responsible for the delivery of the
authority’s datasets to the NLPG Service Provider with respect of the
Mapping Services Agreement (MSA) and compliance of the MSA in the use of
the National Datasets.
*To develop, maintain and update the Local Land and Property Gazetteer
System.

*Ensure that any corporate information and modernising Government
Initiatives fully incorporate the role of the Local Land and Property
Gazetteer.
*To promote the LLPG and its integration with other Council systems, as the
corporate address database.
*To ensure quality assurance of the LLPG and in particular put in place
measures and administrative systems to validate its correctness, currency,
coverage and completeness.
*Liaise with all departments within the Council regarding changes to the
LLPG, including liaison with the Street Naming and Numbering
Section, and the monitoring of planning and other consents to ensure
that any changes are reflected in the LLPG.
*To coordinate the regular scheduled updates of the LLPG to the National
Land and Property Gazetteer Hub.
*To provide specialist support, advice and training to users within the
Council regarding the use and integration of the LLPG within the
departments' systems.
*To represent the Council on matters regarding the Local Land and Property
Gazetteer management and maintenance, including| attendance at appropriate
national / regional / County working and user groups relating to the NLPG
and LLPG.
