Tomorrow evening, Friday 25 April, in London, the Victoria & Albert Museum
is open late, and has a series of talks and activities relating more or less
to the theme of artists' books, celebrating the big exhibition 'Blood on
Paper', as well as the smaller display I plugged earlier: 'Certain Trees:
the Constructed Book, Poem & Object'. Poetry readings will take place in the
museum's library (which is actually the National Art Library, a ceremonious
chamber dating from the 1880s). The readers are John Bevis and Harry
Gilonis, but they will read a range of work by people in the 'Certain Trees'
show, including Ian Hamilton Finlay, Robert Lax, Stuart Mills, Thomas A.
Clark, Simon Cutts, and perhaps others, including themselves. The readings
will take place twice, at 7.15 and 8.45 p.m. Free admission (but pick up a
(free) ticket for the reading).
