Two posts: Quantitative Methods/Survey Methodology in Sociology
Senior Lecturer/Reader up to £52,628 per annum - Ref 6524
Lecturer up to £33,780 per annum - Ref 6523
Join one of the leading sociology departments, grade 5*, to enhance its
range of methodological and substantive strengths. The Department seeks to
appoint two sociologists with expertise in Quantitative Methods and/or
Survey Methodology; one appointment will be at Senior Lecturer/Reader
level and one at Lecturer level.
We particularly welcome applicants who have expertise in longitudinal
studies, survey methods, social simulation, online survey methods, or
mixed methods, together with a substantive interest in ethnicity, health,
religion, ageing, criminology or science and the environment. Exceptional
candidates with interests in other areas will also be considered.
Applicants for the senior post should have an established record of
using/developing innovative quantitative methods and/or survey
methodology; a track record in attracting research funds and managing a
research team is also essential.
