Have seen similar discussions on IBMS forum.
KSFs should be personal to the roles of the post and therefore underpinned by the job description and person spec.
I am fairly sure that every clinical scientist does not have the same job description. Some may have a significant research input and do a lot of technical work, some may have more clinical input, some more managerial etc.
You are likely to get a wide selection from this approach because of the above.
The only valid approach I would suggest is to benchmark yourself against peers who you know well enough to know that they do near as dammit the same role as your people.
Off the shelf KSFs should n't really exist ( but probably do)

Dear All,
To save me from reinventing the KSF outline as well as the wheel. Does anyone have a KSF outline for band 8c and 8d clinical biochemists that I could use here in Portsmouth?
I'd be very grateful to receive them.
Thanks in anticipation.
