Dear Colleagues,
there is an open PhD position at the Max-Planck-Institute for Human
Cognitive and Brain Scienes in Leipzig, Germany.
The aim of the open position is to investigate the neural correlates of
cognitive and behavioral dysfunctions in neurodegenerative disorders by
applying voxel-based morphometry (VBM). More specifically, we want to
use clinical (comprehensive neuropsychological) data from a large
patient group of the Day Clinic of Cognitive Neurology at the University
of Leipzig and relate it to atrophy and decreases in glucose utilization
(as measured by MRI and FDG-PET). The main focus of the project is
placing dementia in a framework of cognitive neuroscience. Findings
might be embedded into future behavioral and/or functional imaging studies.
