Och, I wish my mother's father, Robert Guthrie, when he emigrated from
Donegal to NZ, had brought songs with him. Ditto, her mother, a Sinclair
from the Shetlands.
No songs, no yarns, no documents.
As for my father's English forebears, their culture was as plain as their
cooking.
The Irish singer we look out for here on his regular visits is Andy
Irvine...
