This post is available for two years at either
grade 7 or at grade 8 depending upon qualifications and experience.
You will be a motivated and experienced medical
statistician/ epidemiologist / data analyst with
an interest in research into cardiovascular
disease. The Faculty of Medicine has a vacancy in
the Division of Community Based Sciences to work
on a research project entitled “Analyses of Unmet
Need for Cardiac Disease and Risk Factors,’
funded by Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board.
You will join an active multidisciplinary chronic
disease epidemiology research group and lead on
this project. The work load will be heavily
polarised to research but link closely with
health board activities. The research will be
patient data based. You will examine the clinical
epidemiology of cardiovascular risk factors and
disease in the Paisley population with the aim of
informing the identification and monitoring of
unmet need in this population. This will involve
analysis of the Paisley Chronic Disease Register.
