The New Developments Division of Cambridge Assessment focuses on the development, delivery and evaluation of new assessment instruments and approaches, such as formative assessment and university admissions tests. The holder of this post will be responsible for designing and conducting evaluation and validation studies to support the development and enhancement of our tests. You will also contribute towards the refinement of systems and protocols for data handling.
You should have Maths A level or equivalent, a first degree or equivalent involving statistical techniques and research and, ideally, a relevant post graduate or professional qualification.
As well as being highly numerate, you should ideally have an understanding of educational measurement, psychometrics and related statistical and research methodologies. You should also be able to express yourself clearly in written reports and oral presentations. Computer literacy and experience of using SPSS is essential, and experience of SAS and RUMM is desirable.
Initial support and training opportunities will be available to help you acquire the necessary specialist knowledge and skills as quickly as possible.
