Hi Germaine:
Well, my Marprelate book arrived today -- my first look at it. Of course, I
opened it at random and saw a minor typo in the first paragraph my eyes lit
upon, so closed it quickly again.
One quick question: do you know offhand when the PRO became the National
Archives? I knew this, but it never occurred to me to change all the references
in the book to 'NA SP 12/13/14' from their current form of 'PRO SP 12/13/14' --
I stuck with PRO, thinking it more familiar. I feel a little uneasy about this
now, because people might think I didn't know about the change. What do you
think, in retrospect? What do you plan to do with such references in your work,
or maybe the Penshurst intro?
The book costs $150 -- still $90 with my discount -- so I'm hoping they do a
trade paperback so I can afford to give copies to everyone I'd like to (I only
got six comp copies).
