BY CHANCE
He
by chance
in the middle
of the night
peered out
through his lacy
curtained windows
and saw
under the full moon
of the clear sky
on his fine
ghostly lawn
surrounded by it's
herbaceous borders
topiaried hedges
the Worms so
elegantly dancing
a pavane or galliard
swaying so gently
perhaps he could hear
faintest of courtly
strummed music
He
decided not
to tell Her
about it in
the morning
but
fondly regarded
the casts
left behind
little ringed
reminders
