medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Alas, George, all I saw was: Error # 1814
Thanks for trying. I find it disappointing that pix of those statues are so hard to come by on web. There are numerous views of them from afar in shots of the nave, but no close-ups. There are probably numerous photographic restrictions in the church but no one pays them any mind. I shall try to "shoot" Saint Jude Th. in a few weeks.

As to method of martyrdom: my recollection is that he was thoroughly
bashed with a club before having his head opened with an ax. Nice.
