'Ain’t Misbehaving!': Managing Student Behaviour & CoFHE South West AGM 2008
Come and join us at Exeter College where we will be holding our AGM. If you are a COFHE SW member and would like any issues discussed at the AGM then please email me.
We will also be joined by Chris Petheram who will deliver a session about managing student behaviour within a Learning Centre environment.
This session introduces the concept of behaviour modification techniques (BMT) within an education setting. It is aimed at anyone who works in a classroom environment or a college setting and has been delivered in the past across many teaching faculties and to large groups of support / business and teaching staff within and outside Exeter College. Chris Petheram is the Deputy Head of Foundation Studies at Exeter College where many students present with a wide range of behavioural and emotional difficulties. Chris has worked in this field for eight years and holds a MEd in Special Educational Needs, with a specialism in behaviour management. This session will be aimed at library and support staff who may experience undesirable behaviour in their day to day contact with students.
