Hi both
Ditto the problem here. We have Talis and are looking at epayment using the University's online payment system which would then interface with Talis. Not a cheap solution though/. Also looking to implement epurse on the university Smartcard as well.

Subject: Re: [LIB-RFID-UK] RFID/self issue and fine levels
Alan,
We have a ten pound limit. Although this prevents students renewing
items and could lead to them facing the 15 pound maximum fine per
transaction, it can help prevent some students building up some truly
huge fines. If we didn't have the block then, with a short loan item
for example, they could quickly build up a 15 pound fine, renew it and
then quickly build up another 15 pounds.
Now that we are 24/7 we will be investigating taking fines either via
our self-service machines or the OPAC and hopefully that will allow
students to clear their accounts.
Cheers,
Andy
