Crime and Disorder Act: ten years on
A two day conference incorporating two themed days (Community Safety
(7th) and Youth Justice (8th))
7th and 8th May 2008
Queen's Hotel, Leeds
The programme includes keynote and plenary addresses by Professor Tim
Newburn (LSE), Professor Gordon Hughes (Cardiff University), Professor
Barry Goldson (University of Liverpool) and Professor Adam Crawford
(University of Leeds)and panel discussions on community safety and youth
justice which include representatives from youth offending teams,
community safety partnerships and the Association of Chief Police
Officers. Each day will also comprise of a choice of six workshops on
key aspects of community safety and youth justice, covering topics as
diverse as terrorism, anti-social behaviour, parental responsibility and
the age of criminal responsibility.
