Dear All
The 'Lawrence and Brown' book has been through various editions and rewrites.
The most detailed version I have in my library is:
Lawrence M.J. and Brown, R.W. (1975) Mammals of Britain their tracks, trails and signs 2nd ed. Blandford.(this edition also illustrates lots of bones - including post crania).
Most recent version I am aware of:
Brown, R.W., Lawrence, M.J. and Pope, J. (1992) Animals, tracks, trails and Signs. Hamlyn. (much less on bones)
Also very useful for Europe:
Bang, P. and Dahlstrom, P. (2001) Animal tracks and signs. Oxford University Press.
These books are very useful for nuts etc which have been part eaten by animals as well as dung.
best wishes
Dave

Subject: SV: identification of coprolites?
Hi Stefi,
Neither the BAR publication...
But there is a very nice book published by Brown, Lawrence and Pope: The country life guide to animals of Britain and Europe, their tracks, trails and signs. The book is also available in German: Welches Tier ist das? Spuren und Fährten europäischer Tiere. Franckh`sche Verlagsbuchhandlung Stuttgart. 1985.
Discriptions and illustrations of dung is given on pages 223-233.
With kind regards
Sabine Karg
