This is an exciting opportunity to join a new national initiative that is happening within one of the largest of the nine National Cancer Research Institute Accredited Clinical Trials Units in the UK. The initiative is based on an innovative partnership between the Leukemia Research Fund, the University of Birmingham and other clinical and academic partners and has mission to increase the number of world class phase II clinical trials for patients with haematological malignancies in the UK.
To support this venture we require a Biostatistician that is experienced in clinical trials. You will collaborate with Clinical Investigators from academic and trust institutions across the UK to provide statistical expertise on the design and analysis of phase II clinical trials for the national haematology trial portfolio. In addition there is also the opportunity to research and develop statistical methods of design and analysis that are appropriate for these types of trials within the context of haematology. The individual suitable for this post would be a numerate graduate with experience or specific qualifications in medical statistics and clinical trials.

Starting salary £25,134 - £26,666 a year, in the range of £25,134 - £32,796 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to £34,813 a year). This position is available for a period 24 months.
