Hi Joy
We don't invoice students as a rule, although we do invoice sponsors. We indicate the tuition fee on offer letters for those students who are not eligible for the Home Undergraduate Fee of £3070 and we publicise all standard fees on our website. We also provide a Certificate of Fees Due if requested, but these are only produced on an individual basis.
All students must tell us how they are going to pay their fees as part of our online registration process and most are required to set up an instalments plan or pay in full at this stage. At the end of October we write to any students who have not paid in full or made instalments arrangements (these students will be Home Undergraduates who have not got full SLC support, so quite a limited number) and request payment via this mechanism.
Kind regards
Abi

Subject: Student Invoicing
Dear colleagues,
We are reviewing our publications and services for new students this year as we introduce our new Induction Programme.
The issue of invoices to new and returning students has been a perennial problem as it is very labour intensive and delays the posting of information to students.
I know that some institutions do not send invoices to students as fee information is present on their offer letter or an official document earlier in the process.
I would appreciate hearing what other institutions' processes are with regards to providing invoices. We are investigating a 'download your own invoice' service and automated email invoices.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Joy
