In Coventry many of our GPs now no longer receive paper reports. We insist
on having a written request from them asking us to stop sending reports.
The hospital is less easy. We have stopped sending results to the renal
department and A&E. In the former case they have 2 sources of electronic
results the Trust ward based system and their own renal system which the lab
computer feeds. Other areas would like some reports stopped but not others
which is difficult so further progress is slow. I regret we don't have a
policy document though.
