Accepting Applications for new 1-year MA in Design: Management and Policy
degree
The Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) at Lancaster
University is pleased to announce we are currently accepting applications
for students interested in pursuing our new MA Design: Management and
Policy degree. This one-year programme will commence in October 2008. Staff
supporting the programme come from ImaginationLancaster, the Lancaster
Institute for the Contemporary Arts, Sociology and other related fields.
Over one year, students will explore issues of Management and Policy from a
design perspective. Topics include:
• Design Research
• Design Management
• Design Strategy
• Design Futures
• Design Decision-Making
• Design in the Organisation
• Design in Society
• Design Leadership
• Design Policy
• Service Design
Faculty leading this program includes Rachel Cooper, Martyn Evans, Sabine
Junginger, Elizabeth Shove and Tim Grant. Lancaster University has an
international reputation for fostering interdisciplinary work and students
are encouraged to work with other university departments.
Successful candidates will exhibit strong critical thinking abilities and
be highly motivated to pursue graduate education. We are seeking both.
There is a possibility to enter a path for doctoral studies upon graduation.
