Hi Jim,
I'm on holiday but would like to go to this. Can I have some hours
refunded if I go.
Regards
Carol

CELTIC WEBCT USERS GROUP
Friday 29th February, 2008
11am - 3.45pm
Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh
Staff supporting WebCT in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and
England are invited to a meeting of the Celtic WebCT User Group. At this
meeting, several members of the BlackBoard team will provide product and
service updates as well as a technical Q & A.
Tim Squires and Stephen Vickers from Edinburgh University will present:
"If only..." Many of us have muttered these words more than once when
working with a VLE. Their presentation tells the story of how an "if
only" moment, through collaborative efforts, ended up at "That's
Better..." Mike Bailey's presentation (from Horizon Wimba): "Connect,
engage and collaborate with your learners" will demonstrate the Wimba
"Collaboration Suite" integrated with WebCT. Mike will show us how to
create content from Microsoft Word, deployed in WebCT, including Voice
and Live Classes.
A full programme of the event is available at:
http://www.celticwebct.org.uk. Refreshments are sponsored by BlackBoard.
Prior to the event (9am to 11am) and after the event (3.45pm - 5pm) a
Technical Services Manager from BlackBoard will be available for
bookable one to one sessions. Members of the Centre for Academic
Practice will also be offering a tour of the new campus at Queen
Margaret University after 3.45pm.
Please remember that QMU has a green policy and there is very limited
car parking available at the QMU campus. If car parking is required,
