Dear SPM people,
I would like to plot the differences from an ANOVA study I have
performed. In the study population, there are two genetical types, ll
(1) and s carriers (3), in the amygdala region. When I perform a test
for the differences, greater activation is found in the amygdalas for
the s carriers than for the ll. However, when I plot the data, I found
the opposite: the data looks "higher" in the ll than in the s carriers.
What I do for plotting is:
Plot button -->
Which contrast? ll<s carriers
Fitted responses --> adjusted responses --> plot against explanatory
variable --> httlpr (that's the genetical type).
Do you have any ideas why I get these strange results? The darkest part
for me is the "contrast selection" for plotting: I select the same
contrast I had selected in the Results section.
Thank you for your help,
PS: I attach the graph I obtain. I have red-circled the groups I am
looking at, ll (1) and s_ (3).
